Coming Soon: Enlightened (Book 1: The Awakened Series), urban fantasy. Scheduled for release in late 2012 from Crescent Moon Press.

Small-town vet tech Nisha Moore is committed to a humdrum existence. She tries hard to ignore that she can feel departed animals’ souls. And gorgeous Cal Benton, the veterinarian for whom she works? She’s content to ignore that he’s madly in love with her as well.

Then Nisha’s pet cat begins to talk, claiming to be her Guardian. A member of the elite Awakened bloodline, Nisha’s unfurling supernatural talents make her a target of the Fraternity. Demons in the Fraternity want only one thing: to harvest the Awakened and make their talents their own.

In an effort to coerce Nisha to surrender, the demon embarks on a bloody killing spree in Stanton, South Carolina. As people she cares about are picked off one by one, Nisha Awakens. Her talent? Telepathic communication with animals.

With a loyal pack of dogs by her side, Nisha is sure the demon can be annihilated. But he has a grim surprise for her. Two people she loves have been taken hostage, and she has a choice to make. Is her life worth both of theirs?

Her Heart’s Desire, supernatural romance novella – MuseItUp Publishing.

Millie Fields is thirty pounds overweight, has frizzy hair she cannot tame, and writes cheesy articles for a local paper. Her dream guy Graham Lance doesn’t even know she exists. Her coworkers look to her instead of the tabloids for entertainment she doesn’t mean to provide. But all of that changes when she’s handed a magic necklace that transforms her into a gorgeous, confident beauty. The catch? The effects only last from dusk till dawn. Will Millie be able to juggle the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde quality of her new life, especially once she lands Graham?

Happy reading!

  1. Nice blog, Adriana! I write supernatural women’s fiction too. I like that description…better than historical/mystery/paranormal/romance!
Congratulations on your upcoming books. Mine will be out in 2012 as well-it’s a hard wait, isn’t it?
Thanks for liking my page and best wishes!

    • Hi Sue! Thank you so much for stopping by! :) It took me a loooong time to figure out what to call my writing, so I just broke down the main elements of each of my stories. It turns out I like writing about supernatural stuff. LOL. :) The wait is incredibly hard! Please let me know when your book’s going to be out. I’d love to buy a copy and leave a review.

  2. Hi, this is John Abramowitz, fellow author. Just wanted to stop by and wish you luck as you prepare to publish your books.

Also, I do love both paranormal and suspense, so I’ll go ahead and add “Nisha, Awakened” to my “to-read” list :)

  3. Can’t wait to read these, Adriana!

  4. Adriana, your email link didn’t work. Can you mail me at iloveluna@netscape.com? Thanks!
    Sue

  5. Scatterbrained Sue again, I put the wrong link to the book! Can I use the excuse that marketing a new book, editing the second and writing the third, combined with Christmas, is frying my brain? I think you’ll understand!

    Sue

  6. Heh heh, that excuse definitely works for me! :D BTW, Soul & Shadow sounds awesome! Going on my wish list–now I just have to wait for payday. Hehe.

  7. Your book sounds great! I’m so glad I get to read your novella this month! I’m an Urban Fantasy/Paranormal writer, or something:) Hard to know what to call it since crossover makes things so iffy. I like your definition, maybe I should make up my own:)
